Another 2019 study found that cutting down an hour of sitting time per day reduces the risk of heart disease by 26%.

The key is not to sit for too long. Use your standing desk if you have one. Take short walks during the day, or park further away from your workplace. Consistent exercise will also benefit your heart health.
