Use Herbs Instead Of Salt
Excessive salt consumption upsets the balance in your blood, causing your kidneys to struggle to remove water. According to a 2018 study published in the Journal of Clinical Hypertension, this could result in kidney disease. Unfortunately, many Western diets tend to be salty.
The United States Department of Agriculture recommends that people limit their salt intake to one teaspoon (or 2,300 mg) per day. That is roughly one-third of what most people consume. Keep an eye out for high sodium levels in pre-cooked and processed foods, as this is where kidney damage can occur.
