Only Drink In Moderation
Drinking makes your kidneys work harder to filter out more dangerous chemicals. If you drink frequently, your kidneys will overwork. Overdrinking is defined by the National Kidney Foundation as “consuming more than four drinks per day.” A single drink is defined as a single glass, 12-ounce bottle, or shot.

A 2005 study, on the other hand, revealed that drinking in moderation may improve your kidneys. Participants who consumed at least seven alcoholic beverages per week (one or two glasses per day) had a 30% decreased risk of renal impairment. To keep healthy, minimize your alcohol consumption.
