Scallion consumption has been linked to a 50% lower incidence of prostate cancer, according to studies. The risk of stomach cancer has also been connected to scallions and other Allium crops.
Scallion consumption in large amounts increases the vegetable’s ability to prevent cancer. Additionally, scallions are more powerful when eaten raw or barely cooked, and they tend to lose their ability to fight cancer when cooked for an extended period or when they are fried.
