Walk away from those niggling joint pains
If you suffer from joint pain, exercise may be low on your priority list. And, frankly, why wouldn’t you? If you’re already aching or feeling stiff and uncomfortable, why engage in an activity that would make you feel even stiffer and more unpleasant?!
But what if we told you that walking can help you get rid of joint discomfort and other aches and pains? Walking (at your own pace) strengthens the muscles that support your lower body, from your feet and ankle joints to your hips.
Stronger muscles support stronger ligaments and tendons that hold our joints and bones together, putting less strain on tight, aching joints. (Just a quick reminder that if you have a medical condition that causes chronic pain or are unsure, please consult your GP or another medical specialist before beginning any new exercise program to ensure you’re doing the best thing for your health.)
