Walking helps to improve digestion
Who doesn’t enjoy going for a walk after a heavy roast dinner? Don’t those Sunday walks assist to digest the mound of roast potatoes, rhubarb crumble, and custard?

This is assumed to be related to the fact that exercise helps to move the bowel. A sluggish intestine frequently indicates that food moves slowly through it, causing constipation. Exercise causes the production of hormones such as adrenalin, which helps to move food down the bowel more quickly, resulting in a less sluggish bowel and a more regular stool. This ensures that toxins and waste cannot collect in the colon, which has been linked to an increased risk of bowel cancer.
