2 – Don’t stress: stop generalizing
When something happens to us, we think it will happen to us forever.
Example:
- If someone refuses us a favour, we think that no one will ever agree to do us a favour.
- One of our friends was bitten by a dog and we conclude that all dogs are bad…
What if, in order not to stress, we keep in mind the context?
- This person refused to do me a favour today, but tomorrow is another day.
- Yesterday, a dog named “ROCCO” bit a friend of mine, but not all dogs are “ROCCO”.
