Consider the first time you were hired. Did your boss provide you with adequate training? Even if you believe you know your job well, have there been possibilities for you to advance as an employee and take on additional responsibilities? Is mentorship practiced at your workplace? Finally, most employees want to develop in their professions, which begins with an office culture that encourages learning. If it is clear that the firm or organization for which you work does not provide any of these benefits, the only viable option is to locate another job where that will assist you in achieving your goals.
