2-Solitude and routine
As we age, it can become more and more comfortable to stay within our comfort zones. While there are many positive aspects to becoming more financially and practically secure, it can also be easier to retreat into a difficult-to-break-out-of bubble. It can be difficult to take risks and put ourselves out there, especially after a long day at work when we may just want to relax at home.
Our critical inner voices may tell us to stay inside and take it easy, but this can ultimately lead to negative self-talk and feelings of loneliness. It’s important to challenge these negative thoughts and make an effort to engage with the world, try new things, and pursue what we want in life. This may involve going out, meeting new people, and trying new activities as a way to discover new parts of ourselves and what makes us happy. It can be intimidating to step out of our comfort zones, but it’s worth it to build a stronger sense of self and increase our chances of finding a fulfilling relationship.
