7-Last-minute cancellation

You respect that other people value their time just as much as you cherish yours. So it’s incredibly perplexing when your date texts you to say they have to cancel. Is this an emergency situation? Yes, but you’d think they’d tell you why or at the very least suggest a new date. If they don’t reschedule, it’s more probable that they’ve made other plans or simply don’t want to keep the date. Clearly, dedicating one or two hours of their time to meet you for coffee or lunch is too much of a sacrifice.
