The Christ of the Depth
Cristodegliabissi, a two-and-a-half-meter statue at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea. The statue was lowered into the water in 1954 in commemoration of DarioGonzatti, who died while diving in 1947. The Deep of Christ is located on the beachfront in San Fruttuoso, Liguria, Italy. This year, the statue turned six years old, and in 2003, it was removed for a rapid renovation so that it did not fall apart totally.
