5- Getting Out of Bankruptcy

At first, declaring bankruptcy felt like the end of the world to one Reddit member. But, after meeting with a financial advisor to devise a strategy for getting his financial ducks in a row, he learned that with commitment and discipline, he could work his way out of it. It did entail a number of significant and minor sacrifices. For example, he sold his mansion and moved into a one-bedroom apartment in a less-than-glamorous part of town. He also canceled his Netflix membership and ate more instant ramen than he had since college. Patience and time – around 5 years – were required. But he was eventually able to recover his credit and turn things around.
