All about listening

Here’s an irony: the art of talking to a woman is as much about listening as it is about talking. And if you learn to say less and listen more, you will have already distinguished yourself from the numerous others who have attempted to impress this woman.

How can you improve your listening skills? Simply put, don’t talk over her and listen to what she says (this means you’re not just waiting for your “time” to speak). And use part of what she says to continue the conversation. For example, if she says she’s a nurse, you could inquire whether the pandemic has made things more difficult for her. Or simply state that you don’t know much about nursing and would like to learn more.

You’ll finally be able to talk to ladies rather than at them once you start actually listening.
