Joey appeared in “Flight of the Navigator” beside Sarah Jessica Parker, which seemed like a good start for a child actress. But he grew up, and his life took an unexpected turn. In British Columbia, he robbed a bank. Joy was sentenced to two years in prison, which he said saved his life and offered him an opportunity to start over. He claims he was transformed by his time in prison.
