Maybe 1587 was a great year. It was clearly for the 120 English immigrants who traveled over the Atlantic and arrived in Roanoke Island, North Carolina, in one piece. But it wouldn’t stay that way. They vanished without a trace three years later, and the mystery has never been solved.
If you ask Reddit members, they will almost certainly insist that zombies had a hand in their demise since it is both the coolest and most terrifying explanation. But, unfortunately, they either integrated with the local Native American tribes or died at their hands.
