When she first came out, most people compared Cardi B to the great Nicki Minaj. Cardi used to spit bars like Nicki, wear vividly colored wigs like Nicki, and dress up like a seductive goddess at events. The two eventually became rivals, but fans compared their no-makeup photos as they had done with many other things in the past. Cardi B promoted her then-upcoming studio album Invasion of Privacy with a series of bare-faced Instagram videos in 2018.
