There are rusted forts in the sea, s if the gods threw a team of Imperial walkers into the water, ready to unleash a laser beam in the direction of the beach at any time. The Maunsell Fortresses were left out of World War II so that the monstrosity might sneeze from them. The fortress squadron was constructed in 1942. The buildings were linked together with a thin iron bride when they were still operating. There were originally three fortifications, but only two survive. Their design was similar: seven buildings around the central tower. They were disarmed in 1950, following World War II. The third fort was severely damaged by a storm and was dismantled in 1959 after being scratched by another ship. Pirate radio stations were active in the other two cities for a long period in the 1960s and 1970s.
