6- We grow less arrogant
We are more inclined to offer unsolicited advice to people in our early adulthood, thinking we are being helpful. But, at some point, we learn that no one enjoys being told what to do any more than we enjoy others offering us unsolicited advice. Instead, we learn that the greatest way to assist people is to make suggestions while emphasizing that they are free to select whichever path is best for them.
