4 EFFECTIVE WAYS TO RESPOND TO OTHERS' NEGATIVITY

Consider taking a vacation that makes you happy. Perhaps you went dolphin scuba diving off the coast of Africa. Or perhaps you climbed a South American mountain. When you respond to someone who says, “I could never do that. “I guess I don’t like myself all that much.” You may simply choose not to react, which is great. You may also add, “I think you’re being way too hard on yourself.”

When you’re having the time of your life and feeling unashamedly pleased, others will often accuse you of being selfish. Although it is true that you should never pursue happiness at the price of the happiness of others, there is nothing wrong with doing things that make you happy if you are not inflicting any harm. In fact, you owe it to yourself to do whatever it takes to be happy! You’ll realize that when you’re happy, you’re a better friend, partner, and employee. In other words, it assists you in reaching your full potential as a person.
