3-Jada Pinkett Smith & August Alsina — 21-Year Age Gap
The entanglement heard around the world. In June 2020, August Alsina revealed in an exclusive interview with Angela Yee that he had a relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith. They met through her son, Jaden, in 2015 when Alsina was 22 and Jada was 43. He expressed, “I completely devoted myself to that relationship for years and have a deep and abiding love for her.” Later, Alsina released a song titled “Entanglements.”
By July 2020, Jada brought the discussion to her show, Red Table Talk, where she and her husband, Will Smith, discussed the relationship. Jada and August had become very close friends after meeting through Jaden. Recognizing August’s need for help and resources for his deteriorating mental health, Jada stepped in to assist. At the time, she and Will were on the verge of separation.
