13-Vivienne Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler — 25-Year Age Difference
Vivienne and Andreas’s story began when she served as a visiting professor at the Vienna Academy of Applied Arts, and he was one of her students. Their connection deepened just before she was appointed Professor of Fashion at the same school. In 1992, Vivienne added wedding gowns to her fashion line, reflecting their blossoming relationship. The following year, aged 51 and 25, they exchanged vows.
Their partnership extended beyond marriage; Andreas became Vivienne’s trusted fashion collaborator, designing her collections until her passing. Together for 30 years, Vivienne left a lasting legacy upon her death on Dec. 29, 2022, at 81. Andreas honored her memory by creating a spring/summer 2024 collection inspired by her personal style, showcasing their enduring creative bond.
