Measure Your Blood Pressure Frequently
According to a scientific study published in The Lancet in 2010, high blood pressure was the major cause of heart disease. This disorder causes hypertensive heart disease, which causes the heart to thicken and the arteries to narrow. According to the American Heart Association, avoiding high blood pressure “should be a healthcare goal.”
If you don’t already have high blood pressure, attempt to avoid it. Taking your blood pressure once a month, or even once a year can be beneficial. According to a 2015 study published in The New England Journal of Medicine, blood pressure of 120 mm Hg or less reduces the risk of heart disease.
