Don’t Keep The TV On All Day
Researchers compiled data from nearly 70,000 women studied during a 20-year period in 2015. When the trial began, nearly all of the women had diabetes or heart disease, and many reduced their chance of having a heart attack by 92%. One of the six healthy behaviors listed was viewing less than seven hours of television every week.
The basic explanation is that watching TV takes away your opportunity to exercise. A 2019 study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association found that people who watch TV and exercise had no negative effects on their heart health. The study concluded that viewing four hours of television every day is worse for your heart than working a desk job.
