Chanel No. 5
Without the Chanel Grand Extrait, the list of well-known smells is incomplete. It was the first fragrance to have a designer’s name. Ernest Beaux created it in 1921, and it has since been the standard for all high-end scents. It is the result of Ernest Beaux and Coco Chanel’s collaboration. This feminine aroma smells like fresh abstract flowers. The aroma was then enhanced using its unique feature, a 1% excess of the chemical aliphatic aldehydes, which amplifies odors. It is packaged in a lovely piece of artwork. The perfume is housed in a magnificent diamond-shaped glass container with faceted edges that are sealed to preserve its legendary purity.
