Dehydration might make you feel more exhausted since drinking insufficient amounts of water can increase your blood pressure and reduce blood flow to your brain. A UConn Department of Kinesiology study that was just published in the Journal of Nutrition demonstrated that even minor dehydration can lead to weariness, mood changes, and difficulty focusing on tasks. These results were supported by a second investigation that was published in the British Medical Journal, which also revealed that women are more susceptible to dehydration than men.
Dehydration symptoms include dark yellow or strong-smelling urine, frequent thirst, and dizziness. However, since these symptoms may not appear right away, it’s crucial to monitor your water consumption to ensure you’re getting enough.
Experts advise adults to consume at least 2 liters each day, or 4, 500 ml standard mineral water bottles, or 8 8-ounce cups. If you’re feeling tired, it’s a good idea to assess how much water you’re drinking. If you aren’t, make sure to drink enough water throughout the day to see if your symptoms go better.
