11- Eat foods with a low glycaemic index
According to research, foods with a high glycemic index, such as processed grains and sugary pastries, can increase feelings of exhaustion and drowsiness because, despite giving you an immediate energy boost, they can also cause a quick drop in blood sugar levels, which can cause a slump. You lose energy as a result of these sharp ups and downs, and processed foods with plenty of sugar also produce inflammation, which has an impact on energy levels as well.
If you frequently feel tired, cutting back on sugary and highly processed foods and increasing your intake of fiber and low-glycemic index foods may help you manage your symptoms. These foods release energy more gradually over time, which helps to maintain stable blood sugar levels. Natural yogurt, lettuce, mushrooms, broccoli, and healthy grains like brown rice and stone-ground whole wheat bread are examples of foods with a low glycemic index.
Although caffeine is acceptable in moderation, you shouldn’t consume too much because it might tire your adrenal glands, which will further deplete your energy stores. Instead, replace cola, coffee, and soda with naturally sweetened water or herbal tea.
